In the past two weeks, we’ve seen an incredible influx of support from the community, partners, fans, and even local musicians and artists from around Athens, GA, all contributing to our naming process. With the overwhelming response, including double entries and feedback, the vote has narrowed to within a margin of just 3%, leading us to announce a final round of voting between the top two names. This final round, which will run until May 13th, is designed to capture the true sentiment of our community and ensure the chosen name reflects their voice and the future spirit of our hockey team.
This is the final voting round and we will announce the winning name & brand along with mascot on May 15th, 2024 at 12pm EST.
VOTING REGULATIONS
Athens Pro Hockey will open voting May 1st 2024 and close the options on May 13th, 2024 at 5pm. Once voting & sumbissions are closed, the hockey organization will compile all the votes to determine the winning name, logo selection, color palette, and reveal the final branding of the team on May 15th, 2024.
All artwork submitted may be used for the inaugural season for either an Athens Night, Limited Jersey Design, Patch Design, or to be used as a community night/artist night for the 2024-2025 season. We will hold all artwork in reserve to see what we can utilize in the upcoming season.
